Rodney Katushabe
Interim President
Rodney Katushabe serves as Interim President of Beta Alpha Psi at NEIU, currently pursuing his Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) after earning both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at NEIU and an Associate of Arts at MCC. With aspirations to become a CPA after completing his MSA, Rodney brings his passion for mentorship and entrepreneurial thinking to his leadership role. His commitment to professional development extends beyond the classroom through his volunteer work with nonprofit organizations and partnership with small businesses, where he applies his accounting knowledge to create community impact.
Golam brings extensive experience in accounting and trade finance, gained through roles in multinational organizations in Jordan and Bangladesh, including KPMG. A Chartered Accountant in Bangladesh, he is pursuing a Master’s in Accounting at Northeastern Illinois University and plans to earn the CPA designation in the United States. Actively collaborates with team members, leveraging his global perspective and professional expertise to strengthen the BAP Club’s connections and outreach. His cross-cultural background, leadership skills, and commitment to professional growth make him a valuable asset to both the club and the broader business community.

Saif Chunawala

Saif has several years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting from firms in Mumbai, India. He has completed the Intermediate level of the Chartered Accountant (CA) program in India and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting at Northeastern Illinois University. Saif has demonstrated leadership by mentoring junior staff and advising clients, and he is dedicated to continuous learning, teamwork, and contributing to the success of the BAP chapter at NEIU and its community.
Paula is a dedicated accounting student with a strong foundation in financial, auditing, and managerial accounting. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in accounting, she is passionate about leveraging analytical skills and ethical practices to support accurate financial decision-making. Eager to gain real-world experience, Paula aims to contribute to a team committed to integrity and performance in the accounting profession.

Faculty Advisor
Dr. Tavakolifar serves as the Faculty Advisor for this Beta Alpha Psi chapter and also leads as the Coordinator of Accounting Programs at Northeastern Illinois University. He maintains active connections with professional organizations, including the AAA, IIA, IMA, and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), and is dedicated to mentoring students as they grow into ethical, skilled, and confident future professionals.
